Mysuru is seeing more tech workers They are moving from Bengaluru

Tech workers are leaving Bengaluru for Mysuru. Property prices and rents are too high there. Bengaluru also suffers from bad traffic and poor air. Mysuru offers a calmer, greener, and cheaper lifestyle. It attracts remote and hybrid workers.

Mysuru was once a retirement spot. Now, professionals are buying second homes there. They like its peaceful life. The air is cleaner too. Infrastructure is improving. Connectivity and amenities are still good.

Srinidhi, a tech worker, sold his Bengaluru home. He is moving to Mysuru. He wants an apartment or house in Saraswatipuram or Jayalakshmipuram. These areas cost about ₹1–1.5 crore.

“Bengaluru’s traffic, pollution, and rush drove me away,” Srinidhi said. “Mysuru has a better life. I work hybrid. I only visit my office monthly. The expressway makes this easy. Mysuru has malls and shopping, like Bengaluru.”

Another tech worker sold his Bengaluru house. He bought it in the 1990s. He sold it for ₹4.5 crore. He plans to buy a second home in Mysuru.

Popular Mysuru areas include Saraswatipuram, Jayalakshmipuram, and Hebbal. Bengaluru professionals are inquiring a lot. Bengaluru is no longer affordable. Mysuru has great infrastructure now. Homes are reasonably priced. MUDA-approved plots in Hebbal cost ₹4,500–7,000 per square foot.

Kuvempu Nagar, Vijayanagar, and Jayalakshmipuram are well-connected. They are good choices for workers. Two-bedroom apartments there start around ₹60 lakh. They can go over ₹1 crore. Monthly rent is ₹30,000 to ₹45,000.

Gokulam and Lakshmipuram are near historic areas. They offer two-bedroom apartments.
