A 75-year-old Manhattan woman is accused of biting a 7-year-old girl. This happened at a Hamptons concert. A dispute over a free t-shirt allegedly led to the attack. The woman, Gail Bomze, is a well-known real estate agent. She sells luxury homes in New York City. Bomze also appeared on Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing.
Bomze was arrested Tuesday afternoon at Main Beach. The location is in East Hampton Village. The arrest occurred at 1:25 pm. She faces charges of third-degree assault. She is also charged with endangering a child.
The girl’s parents said Bomze reached for a t-shirt. It was thrown from a balcony. The Tuesdays at Main Beach concert was ongoing. The East Hampton Village Police Department has more details. An event worker accused Bomze of hitting and kicking children. This occurred during the t-shirt giveaway.
The young girl stated Bomze grabbed her arm. She also alleged Bomze bit her. The child’s arm became swollen and bloody. Her parents called 911. Investigators searched the area. Bomze was then charged with misdemeanors. She received a court appearance ticket. She was later released.
Bomze’s lawyer, Christopher McGuire, spoke to Page Six. He said Bomze strongly denies the claims. McGuire stated teenagers pushed Bomze down. This happened as people fought for the free t-shirts. He added that she was left sore and injured.
He also mentioned reporting Bomze’s concerns. The East Hampton Village Foundation apologized. They promised to improve concert safety. Bradford Billet leads the East Hampton Village Foundation. He noted this was the first incident in five seasons.
Bomze is an acclaimed real estate agent. She is known for selling high-end New York City homes. Her career includes an appearance on Million Dollar Listing. She left human resources in 2003. Bomze became a licensed real estate salesperson. She handled major deals. These included a $21.8 million Park Avenue townhouse. She also sold Geraldo Rivera’s apartment for $4.1 million. Bomze has supported the Central Park Conservancy. She was also seen at a 2024 event honoring Julian Schnabel.
