Big Boost for UP Real Estate: RERA Approves 21 New Projects Worth ₹7,035 Crore!
Great news for homebuyers and the construction industry in Uttar Pradesh! The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has given the green light to 21 new projects with a massive combined value of ₹7,035 crore. This will pave the way for the construction of 10,866 new housing and commercial units across the state.
The decision was made during the Authority’s 184th meeting on Saturday, chaired by Sanjay Bhoosreddy, who noted the approvals as a sign of the sector’s accelerating growth.
“The approval of 21 projects, adding nearly 11,000 new units, highlights the momentum of real estate growth in Uttar Pradesh. With investments of about ₹7,035 crore, these developments will meet housing needs across diverse income groups and also create significant economic opportunities for the state,” Bhoosreddy said in a statement.
Where Are These New Projects?
The projects are spread across major urban centers, including Gautam Buddh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Lucknow, Mathura, Agra, Bareilly, Varanasi, and Barabanki. The new developments will feature a mix of residential apartments, villas, plots, and commercial properties.
Officials emphasized that the new schemes will not only increase housing availability but also promote social inclusion, as a portion of the units will be reserved for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS). The projects are also expected to generate significant new employment opportunities in construction and related industries.
The largest concentration of approvals was for Noida and Greater Noida, which together account for eight projects. Ghaziabad received three approvals, while Lucknow and Varanasi each got two. The remaining projects are in Mathura, Rampur, Agra, Bareilly, Barabanki, and Gorakhpur.
This is a clear signal that the real estate market in Uttar Pradesh is booming, with plenty of new options for both home buyers and investors on the horizon.
