CREDAI signs MoU with NSDC and QCI to push skill development in real estate sector

On April 18, the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI) announced it signed an MoU with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and the Quality Council of India (QCI). This agreement aims to create a system for skill training, capacity building, and worker certification in the construction and real estate sectors.

The MoU was signed during CREDAI’s leadership changeover, where Shekhar G Patel became the new president for 2025-27.

CREDAI states that this partnership commits all parties to improve workforce development. They plan to focus on skill building, capacity expansion, and sustainable jobs in the sector.

The partnership will offer training programs aligned with industry needs. It will include certification to ensure quality, recognition of prior learning to validate existing skills, and efforts to connect workers with job placements. The program will also promote modern building methods, including green construction techniques, CREDAI added.

Shekhar G Patel said, “Giving workers skills relevant to the industry is key to increasing productivity and maintaining high standards. Our work with NSDC and QCI will help build a strong system for developing talent. This will keep India’s real estate sector competitive and ready for the future.”

Boman Irani, CREDAI’s chairman, said, “Going forward, we will strengthen CREDAI’s role in encouraging innovation and responsible urban growth. We also want to protect the interests of developers and homebuyers alike.”
