Hilton, along with Olive by Embassy, plans to launch 150 Spark by Hilton hotels in India, marking the brand’s first entry into the Asia Pacific region. Focusing on key southern states, Spark aims to meet the rising need for affordable and reliable hospitality options in India. This collaboration takes advantage of Embassy’s knowledge to reshape the premium economy market and foster impressive growth.
Hilton, a major player in global hospitality, has formed a licensing agreement with Olive by Embassy to establish these hotels. This partnership builds on Hilton’s long-standing connection with the Embassy Group, which operates properties like Hilton Bengaluru Embassy Manyata Business Park. The first Spark hotels will open in southern India, specifically in states like Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Goa, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.
“Spark by Hilton will fill a gap in the Indian market by offering budget-friendly stays that don’t skimp on quality, meeting the demand for value and consistency in both large and smaller cities. This partnership will not only pave the way for significant growth but also strengthen Hilton’s position in one of the world’s largest markets for lodging,” stated Alan Watts, president of Hilton Asia Pacific.
Spark by Hilton is the fastest brand in Hilton’s history to launch, starting in 2023 and already developing 100 hotels. Jitu Virwani, Chairman & Managing Director of the Embassy Group, noted, “Spark by Hilton is perfectly positioned to take advantage of the country’s growing middle class, investments in infrastructure, and a rapidly expanding hospitality industry. With Embassy’s strong market knowledge and the support of our local franchise partners, we are excited about the journey ahead to transform the premium economy segment.”
