Shah Rukh Khan has invested Rs 10.1 crore, while Amitabh Bachchan puts in Rs 10 crore, in Sri Lotus Developers and Realty. This company is owned by Anand Pandit, who is also a film producer and friends of the bollywood actors. The Economic Times reports that other famous stars like Hrithik Roshan, Ajay Devgn, Ektaa Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Tiger Shroff, and Rajkummar Rao have also invested in the firm.
The company has received approval from SEBI for a Rs. 792 crore IPO. In December, they raised Rs. 400 crore by selling shares at Rs. 150 each. Shah Rukh Khan’s family trust bought 6.75 lakh shares for Rs. 10.1 crore, and Amitabh Bachchan invested Rs. 10 crore. Both actors own lavish homes in Mumbai that attract many visitors. They also own various properties around India.
Anand Pandit recently discussed his real estate business with SCREEN. He said Amitabh Bachchan’s film Trishul inspired him early on. “I have watched Amitabh’s films when I was young,” Pandit explained. “His movie Trishul made me want to leave Ahmedabad and come to Mumbai. I also dreamed of starting my own Shanti Construction Company. Today, I have Lotus Developers. His character Vijay inspired me to get where I am today. It’s all thanks to Bachchan sahab.”
Pandit shared that he bought the house next to Big B’s residence, Jalsa, for Rs. 50 crore in 2013. When Bachchan wanted to expand his property, Pandit sold it to him. “I was a big fan,” he said. “I grew up watching his films. It was a strange twist of fate that I became his neighbor when I bought that bungalow. Later, I sold it back to him. That’s when we got closer.”
Recently, during Pandit’s birthday party, Shah Rukh joked about his friend’s large property in Mumbai. “He visits me late at night, around midnight,” Shah Rukh explained. “We walk around Juhu. He doesn’t brag about his buildings. Instead, he says that except for two or three, almost all the buildings are his. Our drives are much easier that way.”
