Mumbai-based real estate company Runwal has changed its name to Runwal Realty. It has also signed Bollywood star and fashion icon Sonam Kapoor as its brand ambassador to promote its luxury projects.
The company says Sonam Kapoor will be the face of its high-end properties. She will appear in all marketing efforts, including print ads, online campaigns, outdoor billboards, and cinema advertisements.
Runwal Realty works in residential, commercial, and retail real estate in Mumbai’s metro area and Pune.
“Our success is not just measured in square feet,” said Sandeep Runwal, the managing director. “It’s about the lives we touch and the legacies we help create. Our motto, ‘Building for Generations to Come,’ reflects this. Every space must last over time and connect emotionally.”
Sonam Kapoor shared her thoughts on teaming up with Runwal Realty. She said, “In a changing world, making something that lasts feels personal, like a home. That is what drew me to Runwal. They believe a home is more than just a place — it’s the start of a legacy.”
She added, “Joining Runwal Realty as their ambassador is natural. They share my view that home means building something meaningful for the future.”
Many other real estate companies also turn to Bollywood stars. In February 2025, Elan Group from Gurugram named Shah Rukh Khan as its official brand ambassador.
In July 2023, Gera Developments from Pune hired Amitabh Bachchan as its face. In 2016, Ekta Developers from Mumbai brought in actor Anil Kapoor to promote their homes.
